Question:
I know I shouldn't put my newborn baby to sleep on her stomach but sometimes it's the only way she settles.. My question is by how much do I increase the risk of SIDS if I let her sleep on her tummy? My pediatrician thought this was irrelevant, since I shouldn't be taking any risks at all but I disagree - if the risk only increases by 0.2% by putting her to sleep on her tummy then I will take my chances in exchange for a good night's sleep which I could really do with right now. Obviously if the risk goes up by something like 20 or 30% then I won't do it at all, it's that simple. Please help!
